Data Vault has emerged as the current methodology for implementing
integration layers (Core Warehouse, Enterprise Data Warehouse) in data
warehousing. Compared to traditional approaches, Data Vault promises
long-term scalability, more efficient data loading, and compatibility with
agile project methods. This seminar provides the necessary knowledge of
the conceptual approach of Data Vault and the key criteria for its
implementation in an organization. Participants gain an understanding of
the core components, design rules, and the implementation of required ETL
logic. Through concrete application scenarios, attendees deepen their
knowledge using proven design concepts and best practices. By the end of
the seminar, participants will be able to confidently evaluate the Data
Vault methodology and strategically apply it in their organization.

Zielgruppe
This seminar is suitable for data modelers, designers, architects, project
managers, and employees who are interested in implementing Data Vault
within their organizations. While it is beneficial to have a basic
understanding of data warehousing concepts and typical modeling approaches
in the data warehousing domain, it is not mandatory. Participants with
varying levels of experience and roles can benefit from the seminar, as it
provides a comprehensive overview and covers both foundational and
advanced topics related to Data Vault modeling.
Zielsetzung
The goal of this seminar is to provide participants with the necessary
knowledge of the fundamental concepts and core components of Data Vault.
Participants will learn how to create data models for Raw Vault and
Business Vault, as well as concepts for implementing ETL logic for Data
Vault and subsequent query-oriented layers. Best practices and current
extensions (DV 2.0) will be discussed and evaluated. Additionally,
automation solutions for generating models and ETL logic will be presented
through concrete application scenarios. By the end of the seminar,
participants will have a solid understanding of Data Vault and be equipped
to apply it effectively in their organizations.
