**EUP Refresher: Safety when working on or near electrical installations - in accordance with § 12 ArbSchG, DIN VDE 1000-10 and DGUV Regulation 1**
Annual Training: Electrically Instructed Persons (EUP) - Maintaining Competence
For your German-speaking employees, we offer the course in German. The **Electrically Instructed Person (EUP)** course qualifies individuals who are not trained electricians but are present in electrical operating facilities and/or required to work on or near electrical installations under the responsibility and supervision of a qualified electrician (EFK).
Fundamentals - Measurement Practices - Hazards - Regulations
The annual safety and health instruction is mandatory for all employees, including EUPs, in accordance with the ArbSchG and DGUV Regulation 1\. This annual training serves to refresh and maintain the required technical competence and helps prevent electrical accidents. In daily practice, electrically instructed persons or skilled workers from non-electrical professions increasingly perform tasks on electrical installations and equipment. However, this is legally permitted only under specific conditions. **Working with electrical current, including risks such as electric shock or arc flash effects, poses significant hazards and should not be underestimated.** This annual training provides you, as an electrically instructed person (EUP), with the necessary expertise, raises awareness of potential hazards, and alerts you to changing work situations. Additionally, updates and innovations in accident prevention regulations and relevant standards are explained to ensure you remain legally compliant.
Course objective
* After completing the EUP training course, you will be able to perform basic electrical tasks professionally and safely as part of a team of qualified electricians. * You will be more aware of electrical hazards and better equipped to assess them. * You will be capable of taking appropriate measures in the event of electrical accidents. * You will gain valuable insights into relevant electrical equipment. * The instructor will provide you with an overview of pertinent accident prevention regulations and standards. * You will acquire the expertise to test portable equipment in accordance with VDE 0701 and VDE 0702 under the supervision of a qualified electrician.
